Crossing the mighty Rhone, travelling through busy St Remy de Provence, via the town of Cavaillon, at last Luberon is reached.
Oppède le Vieux, is the first taste, of the grandeur of this
region, with the
colorful sweep of the Montagne du Luberon as
a background. Oppède is fun to explore,
and climb amongst ruins
and ruins returning to homes, with stunning views.

Its a good place to start to see the lavender fields, that are found in plenty in this area.
